This course is designed to enable you to launch or grow your recruitment consultancy quickly so you can reap the rewards of your efforts, take control of your earnings whilst being your own boss. There is no better time than the present to take-action and be the driver of your own destiny. Take the leap, embrace change, put aside a week of your time and work on your business, not in it.
 


The programme gives you the opportunity to focus on developing your business so you can launch your recruitment consultancy or accelerate your turnover whilst operating an ethical and compliant business.
 
You will explore opportunities to differentiate and sell your services, put together a realistic and workable Business and Marketing Plan and have a Personal Action Plan to enable you to get your business off to a flying start or to increase your revenue and profits.
 
You will be given Client Terms of Business for both Permanent and Temporary/Contract workers, along with an Employment Contract for you to tailor to your needs. Along with having access to contract and temporary worker recruitment documents, interview guidance sheets, client and candidate qualifying sheets and job order forms.
 
On completion of the programme, you will be given FREE British Institute of Recruiters (BIOR) membership and a FREE assessment so you can become a BIOR Certified Recruiter which will enhance your image, reputation and credibility with your clients and candidates. You will also have the opportunity of joining the BIOR Split Fee service so you can start to work on live vacancies immediately.
Aims
This programme gives you the tools, information, support and expert advice to enable you to quickly get your recruitment consultancy off the ground and running, or to help you focus on growing your existing business. The course takes you through a step-by-step approach of what you need to do and when you need to do it, so you operate a legal and ethical Recruitment Business or Agency.

The course runs over a week with three days of LIVE online interactive training from an experienced recruiter, Alison Mannell Temple who has worked in the employment and recruitment industry for over 25 years and has first-hand experience of setting up and running her own business.
 
In between these sessions you will work on your own Business and Marketing Plans, have access to video clips and webinars from industry experts on employment law, employment legislation and regulations, finance, payroll, factoring, accounting, taxation and VAT and be provided with information on recruitment software and business insurance. You get everything you need to ensure your business can operate successfully and within the law.

  • Forecasting to ensure success.
  • Formulating an exit strategy.
The human touch is still an essential part of recruitment and now more than ever you need to be a highly valued adviser and support your clients, have access to and track data and keep on top of industry trends.  During the day you will look at your internal capabilities and opportunities that will get your business off the ground or to grow and look at the external threats that you need to consider that affect your business.
 
You will have the opportunity of discussing and planning what you want your business needs to do for it to be a success, explore ways to fund your business, structure your company, look at costs and what resources you will need to ensure your competitive advantage.

Activities for you to do following Day 1
 
Today you will have the opportunity of putting into practice what you have learnt from the previous day. You will be working on your business plan where you will be able to start to:
  • Finish your internal and external business analyses.
  • Start to create your business plan by formulating your strategy, mission, vision, aims and objectives.
  • Carry out a competitor analysis.
  • Watch video clips and webinars on Business Insurance, Invoice factoring, Payroll, Tax and VAT.
  • Look at Recruitment software/CRM options.
Course content: Day 3
LIVE Online Interactive Training Day – ‘Ensuring Your Business Operates Compliantly within Recruitment and Employment Legislation and Regulations’
  • Compliance and enforcement of Employment Law, Legislation and Regulations surrounding employment agencies and employment businesses.
  • Code of Professional Conduct and Practice.
  • Ethical recruitment, avoiding unconscious bias and discrimination.
  • Employment contracts and Terms of Business.
During the day you will be able to ensure your business operates within the law and takes an ethical approach to recruitment by learning how employment and recruitment legislation and regulations relate to how you operate your business. You will look at Client Terms of Business and Employment Contracts and take away templates so you can customise your own versions.

Activities for you to do following Day 3
 
Today you will continue to work on your business plan and have the opportunity of putting into practice what you have learnt from the previous day to:
  • Create your own Client Terms of Business and Employment Contract using the samples you will have access to.
  • Watch video clips and webinars on legislation, regulations, compliance, enforcement and IR35 changes.

LIVE Online Interactive Training Day – ‘Marketing, Promoting and Selling Your Services to Ensure the Success and Growth of Your Recruitment Consultancy’

  • Marketing your service and creating a Marketing Plan

  • Creating loyalty
During the day you will be looking at creating a strong brand, marketing options and put together a marketing campaign. You will explore options for promoting your services and how to stand out from your competitors. You will be able to overcome objections and add value to your clients and candidates to create loyalty and repeat business.
 
Following this programme will enable you to launch or grow a commercially viable recruitment consultancy. You will leave with:
  • Training notes, information guides and leaflets covered in the course.
  • A Business plan, Marketing Plan and Personal Action Plan.
  • A full set of recruitment forms and templates for recruiters to use with candidates and clients.
  • Sample Employment Contract and Client Terms of Business for you to customise.
  • Contractor Documentation.

  • Complimentary membership to the BIOR for a year.

About the Trainer
Alison Mannell Temple MBA MBIOR BIOR Certified Recruiter FREC CertRP has over 25 years’ experience in the recruitment and employment industry. She has successfully built-up contract and permanent recruitment desks from scratch, managing up to 320 contractors at any one time.
 
In 2007 she founded Firebird Training and has been helping recruiters maximise their performance, set up and grow their own recruitment consultancies ever since.
